Arizona school bus crash injures three children

Residents across the state of Arizona often wake up early to head to school or work and will often return home during the afternoon hours. These commutes often lead to heavier traffic during these hours. Rush hour traffic often means it will take the driver and passengers longer to reach their destinations. For some, this is frustrating and, unfortunately, could lead to distractions. When a driver is not adequately paying attention, he or she could cause a serious accident involving several victims.

Authorities near the small town of Aguila, which is 60 miles northwest of Phoenix, recently responded to a bus accident that involved a school bus and an automobile. According to reports, the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on U.S. 60. The bus involved was from the Wickenburg Unified School district. Another vehicle rear-ended the bus, which caused injuries to three of the five children who were aboard the bus at the time of the accident.

Emergency crews responded to the crash and assessed everyone involved. In addition to the three injured children, the driver of the car and two passengers were injured. All of them were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

At this time, it is unclear what caused the car to collide with the bus. Investigation is ongoing, and once completed, authorities will be able to establish cause and assign any liability. When a negligent driver causes an automobile collision, they could face civil liabilities. Those injured could file a personal injury claim to help them recover a monetary award for the damages they suffered. Compensation could be used to cover the costs associated with medical bills and other damages.

When individuals in Arizona are involved in an accident involving several victims, it is important that all details are included and further investigation is conducted. This will not only help them determine fault but could assist those injured with filing a cause of action.
