There were 708 fatal crashes, 34,000 injury crashes, almost 5,000 crashes were alcohol related.

There were 1,500 pedestrian crashes, and 3,000 motorcycle crashes. One third of fatal crashes were alcohol related.

The peak month for all crashes was December, the peak day was Friday, the peak hour was 5 pm - 6 pm.

The most common manner of collision was rear-end, the most common driver violation was speed too fast for conditions, which is a violation of A.R.S. ยง28-701A.

Two people were killed each day, there 139 persons were injured each day.

72% of crashes occurred during daylight hours.

Rural crashes in Arizona accounted for 18% of all crashes, but accounted for 46% of all fatal crashes.
